Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ragepunch Thunderballs!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thunderballs throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Thunderballs shoots in for a takedown but Fujinami shows good takedown defense.

and Fujinami counters with a shoot takedown. Thunderballs fights it but they end up in guard.

Thunderballs really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Fujinami. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Fujinami tries to free his leg and advance position but Thunderballs is retaining full guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Thunderballs will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Fujinami seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Thunderballs for as long as he can get away with.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Thunderballs rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Fujinami moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Thunderballs can do anything to dispel that myth.
