Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mike Melton Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cade McCrary (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Melton Jr comes to the cage accompanied by Lil Wayne - Drop The World ft. Eminem. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCrary takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
McCrary tries to close the distance and clinch but Melton Jr swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Melton Jr throws a body punch but McCrary moves out of range.
McCrary closes the distance and clinches up with Melton Jr, looking for a takedown. McCrary pushes Melton Jr against the cage but Melton Jr circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Melton Jr tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but McCrary was well out of range. Poor timing from Melton Jr.
McCrary fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
McCrary looks to score with a jab to the body but Melton Jr is just out of range.
McCrary lands a slapping body shot.

Cade McCrary seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

McCrary rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Melton Jr moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
McCrary will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

McCrary doesn't manage to clinch there - Melton Jr circles away.
McCrary misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Mike Melton Jr has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cade McCrary.

It looks like Cade McCrary has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Melton Jr drops McCrary with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but McCrary looks back up at him and smiles so Melton Jr waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
