Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Carlos Doghoon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kronos Gianpopolos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gianpopolos comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Pit Bull- Dammit Man kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Carlos Doghoon had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Carlos Doghoon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kronos Gianpopolos!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Damien Edna and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gianpopolos knocks Doghoon to the floor with a head kick! Can he finish him!?


It looks like Carlos Doghoon has been cut.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Gianpopolos misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Doghoon is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.

Gianpopolos decides to stand back up.

Doghoon shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Doghoon showed some decent athleticism there.
Doghoon is looking to take a break and control but Gianpopolos is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Doghoon thows a huge punch but Gianpopolos dodges it nicely.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Gianpopolos can do anything to dispel that myth.

Doghoon has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Doghoon thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Gianpopolos's head.
Gianpopolos is controlling Doghoon's position as best he can from this difficult position.

Gianpopolos is refusing to be controlled, as Doghoon sits in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Doghoon decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Doghoon throws a head kick but Gianpopolos moves out of range.
Kronos Gianpopolos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gianpopolos misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Doghoon misses with an uppercut. Gianpopolos saw that one coming.
Gianpopolos shoots in for a takedown but Doghoon shows good takedown defense.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Gianpopolos throws a head kick but Doghoon moves out of range.

Gianpopolos looks gassed!
Doghoon looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Gianpopolos is fending him off so far but Doghoon persists. Nope, Gianpopolos circles away and we're back to standing.

Doghoon throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

Doghoon takes the fight into the clinch.
Doghoon works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

Doghoon tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Gianpopolos was well out of range. Poor timing from Doghoon.

Gianpopolos gets caught napping as Doghoon dives in and scores a takedown. Gianpopolos manages to retain guard.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Doghoon changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Gianpopolos looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Gianpopolos takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.


That has opened up Kronos Gianpopolos's cut even more.
Gianpopolos is not content to let Doghoon control the position.
Gianpopolos is breathing heavily.

The cut above Kronos Gianpopolos's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Kronos Gianpopolos's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:21 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Carlos Doghoon!
