Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gustavo Ramirez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jay Jay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ramirez comes to the cage accompanied by White Wizzard - Gates Of Gehenna. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Gustavo Ramirez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jay Jay!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, James Ackerman and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ramirez steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Jay. That one must have hurt.
Ramirez looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jay is fending him off so far but Ramirez persists. Nope, Jay circles away and we're back to standing.

Jay has managed to clinch.
Ramirez fails to pull guard.
Jay lands an elbow inside that Ramirez shrugs off.
Ramirez fails to pull the fight into his guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gustavo Ramirez. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Jay lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Jay seems to be working for a kimura but Ramirez defends the submission attempt.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ramirez is refusing to be controlled, as Jay sits in half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jay working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Ramirez's thigh. Ramirez counters though and makes it back to full guard.
Ramirez keeping moving, preventing Jay from controlling successfully.

Ramirez escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jay gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Ramirez utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Ramirez is on top in guard.

Jay has his foot on Ramirez's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Ramirez works his way back into a safe position though.

Ramirez drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Jay manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Ramirez has Jay in his guard.
Jay with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Ramirez throws his legs up looking for a submission but Jay uses it to pass to side control.
Ramirez is trying to work for a sweep but Jay has mounted him!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Jay trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Jay lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Jay pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Jay breaks from Ramirez's wrist control and lands an elbow.

Jay wants to control the pace but Ramirez is squirming around nicely.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Jay jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Ramirez manages to avoid the submission attempt.

A lull in the action here as Jay stalls from top position.
Jay landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
Ramirez tries to bench press Jay off him but Jay keeps the position.
Ramirez tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad.
Ramirez is working to get back to half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jay takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Ramirez wants to control but Jay is having none of it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jay connects with a leg kick. Ramirez looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Jay tries a low kick but Ramirez avoids it.
Ramirez chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Jay can pounce on him.
Ramirez misses with a few strikes there.
Jay pivots, looking for a leg kick but Ramirez is out of range and Jay settles back down.
Gustavo Ramirez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A nice inside leg kick there by Jay. That's going to slow Ramirez down.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Jay throws a leg kick which misses Ramirez's front leg but catches the back leg as Ramirez tries to avoid it.

Jay uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ramirez.

Jay dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Jay throws a body punch but Ramirez moves out of range.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Ramirez is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Jay is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Jay feints and then cracks Ramirez's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Ramirez down.

Jay Jay comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Jay has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
