The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice shot lands for Rice.
It looks like Elbrys Gora has been cut.
Some bone on bone action there as Gora checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Gora misses with a straight right.
Gora shoots in for a takedown but Rice shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Rice misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Gora misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Rice tries a head kick but it misses.
Simon Rice seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rice lands a big head kick that sends Gora tumbling to the mat! Rice takes a step backwards and waves Gora back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Rice really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Gora quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Gora but it's paid off an Rice is forced to tap! Nice work by Gora.
