Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Junior Rivera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vitor Belfort (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Rivera might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Push it to the Limit - Rick Ross. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Vitor Belfort!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Wagner Zegers and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rivera catches Belfort with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Belfort uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Rivera.
Rivera tries to score with a low kick but Belfort moves his leg out of the way.
A nice leg kick lands there from Rivera.

Belfort gets tackled into the cage by Rivera. Rivera maintains the clinch.
Rivera unloads a knee to the mid-section. Belfort lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.

Belfort has Rivera pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Rivera manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Belfort is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Rivera gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Belfort regains guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Belfort throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Rivera escapes and throws Belfort's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Rivera happy to just control the position for now.
Rivera wants to lay and pray for a moment but Belfort keeps working.
Rivera lands a few punches from side control.
Rivera in side control lands a decent elbow.
Belfort is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Rivera is controlling him well.

Belfort trying to remain calm as Rivera controls from the top position.

Belfort pushes Rivera away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Rivera gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Rivera controls the position.
Belfort is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Rivera is controlling him well.
Rivera lands a few punches from side control.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Check out the look on Rivera's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Rivera wants to control but Belfort is keeping him busy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Junior Rivera dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Vitor Belfort's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Rivera instigates a clinch.
Belfort takes a knee to the side of the body.

Rivera has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Belfort regains guard immediately.

Belfort is breathing heavily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Rivera postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Belfort looks a forlorn figure.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rivera lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Belfort wants to get back to his feet.

Belfort is rocked!
Rivera looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Belfort covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!
