PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jakobi Smithy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Apollo Olympus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Smithy might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Korn- Freak on a Leash. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Eddie Farnsworth and Jonathan Paton.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smithy leaves Olympus with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Olympus gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Olympus looks for a takedown but Smithy sprawls well.
Olympus shoots in for a takedown but Smithy shows good takedown defense.
Jakobi Smithy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Apollo Olympus.
Olympus takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Smithy scores with a kick to the body.
Smithy feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Olympus's calf.
Smithy lands a jab.
Olympus shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Olympus closes this distance looking for a takedown but Smithy circles away.
Olympus shoots in for a double leg but Smithy sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Olympus shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Smithy throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Smithy pivots, looking for a leg kick but Olympus is out of range and Smithy settles back down.

Smithy lands with a straight right. Olympus didn't see that one coming.
Smithy thows a left - swing and a miss!
Nice takedown defense from Smithy. No joy for Olympus on that attempt.
Olympus shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Smithy but Smithy pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Smithy lands with a nice body punch.
Smithy connects with a body shot that sends Olympus's belly button to the back.
Smithy throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

It looks like Apollo Olympus has been cut.
Olympus's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Smithy connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Olympus scrambles back to his feet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Olympus takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Smithy with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

Olympus has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Smithy.
Smithy thumps Olympus with a low kick.

Olympus chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Smithy can pounce on him.
Smithy moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Olympus closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Smithy feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Olympuss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Olympus is rocked!
Smithy comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Olympus is still on wobbly legs! Can Smithy finish him?
