Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jakobi Smithy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cumin Getsum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smithy comes to the cage accompanied by Korn- Freak on a Leash. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
10 - 5 - 1, fighting out of New York, Jakobi Smithy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Cumin Getsum!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Russell Pearce and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch combination from Smithy misses.
Cumin Getsum seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Getsum shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Smithy sprawls well. Smithy wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Getsum gets slowly back to his feet.
Smithy throws a right and a left that both miss.
Nice body punch from Smithy.
Smithy misses with an uppercut. Getsum saw that one coming.
A clash of legs there as Getsum blocks the low kick.
Getsum shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Smithy pinned against the cage. Smithy gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Getsum has his takedown stuffed
and Smithy counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Jakobi Smithy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cumin Getsum.
Getsum closes the distance and clinches up with Smithy, looking for a takedown. Getsum pushes Smithy against the cage but Smithy circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Getsum stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Smithy.
Smithy tries to work over Getsum's front leg with a kick but Getsum checks it.
Getsum misses with a takedown
and Smithy counters with a three punch combo that has Getsum backing up. Getsum nods at Smithy to acknowledge the strikes.
Smithy defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Getsum.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Smithy fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Getsum manages to avoid it.
Smithy throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Smithy tries a low kick but Getsum avoids it.
Getsum on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Smithy ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Getsum looks gassed!
Smithy connects with a body shot that sends Getsum's belly button to the back.
Smithy just misses with a punch to the body.
Getsum tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Smithy misses with a jab, cross combination.
Nice body kick from Smithy.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Smithy misses the shot to the body.
Smithy lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Getsum closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Smithy punishes Getsum's body with a nice straight punch.
A looping hook to the body misses from Smithy. Getsum does a little dance to reset his feet.
Smithy loads up on a big right hand but Getsum slips the punch.
Getsum moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Getsum doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Jakobi Smithy is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Smithy moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Smithy connects with an inside leg kick.
A slapping leg kick lands for Smithy.
Smithy lands with an uppercut that bounces Getsum off the cage and back into range.
Smithy pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Smithy throws a head kick that misses.
Getsum tries to move into range but Smithy moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Nice body kick from Smithy.
A solid leg kick lands there for Smithy.
Getsum chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Smithy can pounce on him.
Smithy throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Getsum.
Smithy takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Getsum is rocked!
Smithy with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Getsum is still on wobbly legs! Can Smithy finish him?
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Smithy! Getsum is out on his feet! Smithy rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Getsum is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Getsum is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
