The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Iwanow closes the distance and clinches.
Iwanow struggles to land a body shot inside as Irvine controls his hands.
Irvine is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Iwanow gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Iwanow lands a shot to the body.
Iwanow lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Iwanow misses with a short punch on the inside.

Iwanow misses with a punch to the body.
Iwanow throws a punch but it's blocked by Irvine.

Iwanow manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Irvine stands and throws Iwanow's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Iwanow is looking to regain half guard here but Irvine keeps moving and retains side control.
Irvine looks up at the clock and then as Iwanow takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Irvine smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Irvine lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Irvine lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Iwanow down.

Irvine tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Irvine has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
