The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hummel with a poor takedown
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Hummel dives in and grabs Carter's left leg, looking for a takedown. Carter pushes down on Hummel's head and hops out.

Carter feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Hummel sprawling to the canvas! Hummel rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Carter finish him?!

Hummel is rocked!

It looks like Adolf Hummel has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Oh Hummel is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Adolf Hummel. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hummel is breathing heavily.
Carter keeps Hummel at a distance using the push kick.
Hummel seems to have got his legs back now.
Carter lands a nice shot to the body.
Carter fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Both fighters circling slowly here as the pace drops. Hopefully one of them does someth.. OOOHHHH!!!! Carter throws an absolute beast of a head kick! Hummel is done! He's out cold, twisted and contorted up against the cage! Wow!
