McNulty has chosen Still I Rise - Shadows Fall as his entrance music. Carver McNulty is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Matt Sweet!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Carver McNulty!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Gregory Folan and Robert Douchet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sweet misses with a double jab

and McNulty counters with a single leg into guard. Sweet didn't expect that.

Sweet throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! McNulty escapes and throws Sweet's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Sweet tries to bench press McNulty off him but McNulty keeps the position.
McNulty grinds an elbow into Sweet's temple.

It looks like Matt Sweet has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Sweet tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but McNulty wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Sweet is trying to control McNulty's posture but McNulty avoids it.
McNulty scores with punches from side control.

Matt Sweet's cut is getting worse.

Matt Sweet's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
McNulty lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Sweet takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Jeez, Matt Sweet's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Matt Sweet's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
