The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
simmons throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

simmons is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Nugget escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

simmons is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
simmons is trying to control the action in half guard but Nugget is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Nugget throws a nice looking combination but simmons bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Ted Nugget is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

simmons connects with a nice cross there... Nugget is looking wobbly and simmons recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Nugget to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - simmons jumps onto the cage to celebrate with the crowd!
