Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Erick Villar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Prince Valor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Erick Villar!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Prince Valor!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Valor doesn't manage to clinch there - Villar circles away.
Villar shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Valor pinned against the cage. Valor gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Villar throws a hook but Valor avoids it easily.

Villar throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Valor tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Villar is in Valor's guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Valor bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Villar's guard.
Valor stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Villar swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Valor wants to control from the top but Villar keeps moving.
Villar seems keen to control Valor's posture.

We're going to have a standup here because Erick Villar wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Villar tries to bum rush Valor with a series of wild strikes but Valor uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Villar drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Villar is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Valor knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Villar is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Valor is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
You can see the frustration on Valor's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Valor tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Villar wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Villar looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
The ground and pound from Villar seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Villar misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Valor parries the strikes from Villar easily there. Villar is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Valor to escape.

Villar thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Villar throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Villar thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Valor's head.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Erick Villar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Villar drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Villar is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Valor has escaped the position, nice work there.

Villar swings around for an armbar but Valor sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Villar's guard.
Valor is fighting to break Villar's control of his arms but Villar is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Valor pushes down on Villar's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Villar wants to control but Valor is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Erick Villar overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Valor content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

Valor wants to control the pace but Villar is squirming around nicely.
Villar wants to control but Valor is having none of it.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Villar wants to control but Valor is having none of it.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Valor.

Villar shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Valor sprawls well. Valor wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Villar gets slowly back to his feet.

Villar will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Valor really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Villar. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Villar drops back looking for a leg! Valor is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Valor manages to kick Villar off! Villar jumps back into Valor's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Villar working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Villar takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Villar shoots for a double leg takedown but Valor sprawls well. He's pushed Villar's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Villar throws a looping overhand right but Valor ducks down to avoid it.
Villar swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

It's got to the stage where if one of these guys blows hard enough, the other might fall over.
Villar will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Villar shoots in looking for a takedown. Valor tries to sprawl out of it but Villar keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Valor manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Valor throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Valor cracks a nice hook into Villar's ribs.
Valor dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Oh Villar is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Valor dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Villar. That did some damage!
Villar has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Valor.
The fighters circle, before Valor throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Villar's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Valor lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:43 of round 4, we have a winner by way of TKO (Kick & Punches). Prince Valor! Prince Valor retains his middleweight title!
A relieved looking Prince Valor thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
