PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Buddy Zipper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cain Velasquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Velasquez has chosen UFC - Face the Pain as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zipper throws a combination that misses

so Velasquez counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Velasquez passes into half guard.

Zipper knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Velasquez on the ground.

Velasquez is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Zipper sees it coming and defends easily.

Velasquez is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Zipper wants to control but Velasquez is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Zipper is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Velasquez is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Velasquez thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Velasquez is nestled in close to Zipper, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Velasquez seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Zipper does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Oooooh, big shot lands for Velasquez! Zipper is hurt baaadly! Velasquez is firing away with more strikes - Zipper is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
