PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Luis Perero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Radko Filipovic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Luis Perero!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Radko Filipovic!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Robert Twigg and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Filipovic shoots and misses

and Perero decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Filipovic's guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Filipovic jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Perero walks away with a smile on his face. Filipovic gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Filipovic changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Perero tries to avoid it but Filipovic manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Perero to the ground. Perero escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Luis Perero has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Radko Filipovic.

Perero rushes Filipovic and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Perero wants to get back to striking at distance but Filipovic won't allow it.
Perero is breathing heavily.
Perero slows down the pace here.

Perero gets control of Filipovic's arms and successfully pulls guard. Perero will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Filipovic really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Perero. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Filipovic has Perero pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Perero manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Perero is trying to force a seperation but Filipovic has the dominant position.

Filipovic tries to score a body lock takedown but Perero shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Filipovic has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Perero avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Perero lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Filipovic has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Filipovic and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Well Perero has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
