Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sun Tokiko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dmitriy Bykov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sun Tokiko has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sun Tokiko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dmitriy Bykov!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Bykov or perhaps it was just good defense by Tokiko which made him look bad.
Bykov with a poor takedown

and Tokiko counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Bykov regains full guard. Nicely done.
Tokiko's corner is telling him to maintain position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bykov wants to get back to his feet but Tokiko is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Tokiko trying to control the position from guard on top but Bykov is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Bykov is trying to control the position but Tokiko postures up.
Bykov looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Sun Tokiko.

Sun Tokiko has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dmitriy Bykov.

Tokiko feints and as Bykov raises his hands in defense, Tokiko changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Tokiko not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Bykov throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Tokiko trying to control but Bykov is working from the bottom.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Sun Tokiko has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Tokiko moves into the clinch successfully.

Tokiko is working for takedown but Bykov is calmly controlling the position for now.
Bykov wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Tokiko tries for a takedown but Bykov manages to get underhooks.
Tokiko tries to score a body lock takedown but Bykov shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Tokiko can't get the takedown.
Tokiko is breathing heavily.

Bykov jumps into guard, dragging Tokiko to the mat.

Bykov is looking for a triangle but Tokiko pushes his legs off easily.

Tokiko stands and steps away. Bykov gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Tokiko fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Tokiko looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Tokiko.

Bykov fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Tokiko sprawls well initially but Bykov persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bykov takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Tokiko pushes Bykov off looking to stand but Bykov dives back in and keeps control.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Bykov is looking to advance position but Tokiko won't allow it.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Dmitriy Bykov.
Tokiko fails with a takedown attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Sun Tokiko will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Bykov looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Tokiko!
Tokiko tries to reverse the position but Bykov maintains control.

Sun Tokiko overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Bykov can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Tokiko is looking to escape.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Dmitriy Bykov hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Tokiko decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bykov is not content to let Tokiko control the position.
Bykov is looking for a sweep. Tokiko is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Bykov is trying to control but can't.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Tokiko is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Bykov is breathing heavily.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Sun Tokiko just wasn't active enough.
Tokiko will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Tokiko slaps away a takedown attempt from Bykov, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Bykov with a poor takedown
and Tokiko counters with a good low kick that Bykov was not able to check.

Tokiko changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Bykov looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Tokiko is looking to take a break and control but Bykov is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Tokiko decides to stand up, so the ref orders Bykov to his feet.

Tokiko takes the fight into the clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Tokiko is trying to drag Bykov to the mat but Bykov just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Bykov drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Sun Tokiko has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dmitriy Bykov.
Tokiko is pressed up against the cage. Bykov has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Tokiko down to the mat. Tokiko avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Bykov changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Tokiko tries to avoid it but Bykov manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Tokiko to the ground. Tokiko escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Dmitriy Bykov was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Tokiko lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Bykov has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Bykov and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Tokiko wants to clinch.
Tokiko shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bykov as he avoids it easily.
Tokiko keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.

Tokiko checks a leg kick.
Tokiko throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bykov's waist but Bykov gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Tokiko off to one side.
A head kick misses from Bykov.
Sun Tokiko is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Bykov closes this distance looking for a takedown but Tokiko circles away.
Tokiko will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Bykov drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Bykov is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Tokiko has escaped the position, nice work there.

Tokiko is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Bykov asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Dmitriy Bykov has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

And that's the end of the fight!
Dmitriy Bykov comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Tokiko has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
