Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Patth Khanmak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Greek Gyros (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Gyros's choice of entrance music: Greek Gyros. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Greek Gyros enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Patth Khanmak!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Greek Gyros!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and .




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Khanmak tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
A head kick by Khanmak misses

and Gyros counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Gyros slows the pace down in half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Let's hope that Gyros has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Khanmak has hold of Gyros's hands but Gyros slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Gyros is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Khanmak!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Gyros controlling his opponent.

Khanmak is looking to get to half guard.
Gyros controlling the pace for now.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Greek Gyros.
Khanmak tries to close the distance and clinch but Gyros swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Gyros shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Khanmak has a hand on Gyros's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Gyros takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
Khanmak is in all sorts of trouble here.

Gyros content just to control the position here.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Khanmak tries to hold on but Gyros postures up.
Gyros controlling the pace for now.
Gyros breaks from Khanmak's wrist control and lands an elbow.

Gyros postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Khanmak looks a forlorn figure.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Gyros controlling the position easily from mount.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Khanmak tries to reverse the position but Gyros maintains control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Greek Gyros dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Khanmak throws a head kick but Gyros moves out of range.
Khanmak tries a head kick but it misses.
The fight stays on the outside here - Khanmak looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Khanmak tries to clinch up but Gyros circles away and keeps his distance.

Gyros throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Khanmak tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Gyros is in Khanmak's guard.
Gyros stands and throws Khanmak's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Gyros takes a little break here. Khanmak wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Check out the look on Gyros's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Gyros lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Khanmak down.

Gyros lands a few punches from side control.
Khanmak wants to control but Gyros postures up.

Gyros has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Gyros throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Khanmak was covering up waiting for the punch and Gyros finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Gyros stands up from guard. Let's bang!
That kick from Khanmak tenderised Gyros's leg. Gyros is trying to keep his angry face on.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Gyros feints and as Khanmak raises his hands in defense, Gyros changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Gyros is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Gyros has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Gyros lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Gyros looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Greek Gyros was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Gyros on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Patth Khanmak seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Greek Gyros hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Gyros drives through with a takedown into Khanmak's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Gyros is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Khanmak is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Gyros stands up from Khanmak's guard - Gyros perhaps looking for a knockout.

Some bone on bone action there as Gyros checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Gyros looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Khanmak!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gyros tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Gyros's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Greek Gyros showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!



A momentary lapse in concentration from Khanmak enables Gyros to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Khanmak manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gyros is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Greek Gyros has got the better of the ground game so far.

and Gyros counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Khanmak's guard now.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Khanmak is trying to keep Gyros in close.
Patth Khanmak has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Greek Gyros is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Gyros got a little sloppy there for a moment and Khanmak has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Gyros has managed to get both his arms back between Khanmak's legs - danger averted.

And that's the end of the fight!
Greek Gyros comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Gyros winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
