The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva closes the distance looking to clinch

and The Stampede counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by The Stampede.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Silva isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. The Stampede stacks Silva on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by The Stampede!
The Stampede controls the position.
The Stampede cracks Silva with a big right hand but Silva just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Silva really doesn't want to stay on the ground with The Stampede. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Silva is trying to escape the position but The Stampede is controlling the position.
The Stampede lands a few punches from side control.

The Stampede has hold of Silva's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Silva seems comfortable defending it but The Stampede has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Silva is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Silva is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but The Stampede couldn't care less - he's delighted!
