PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cameron Saber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Turk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Cameron Saber!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, David Turk!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Yukihiro Yamamoto.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Saber is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Turk.

Turk unloads a knee to the mid-section.
Turk tries to land knees in the clinch but Saber avoids the damage to the body.

Turk misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Saber lands a left hand that snaps the head of Turk backwards.

Saber turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Saber manages to end up in side control.
Turk is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Saber asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Saber with the ground and pound but Turk regains half guard under the barage of strikes.
Turk wants to get back to his feet.
Saber will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Saber throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Turk on the side of the head.

Saber swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Turk.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Cameron Saber.
