Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Leonardo Rezende (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Barnabus McKraken (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McKraken tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Rezende paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Barnabus McKraken seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McKraken stuffs the takedown attempt from Rezende. Rezende gets slowly back to his feet.
McKraken misses with a double jab.
Rezende shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says McKraken as he avoids it easily.
Rezende closes the distance and clinches up with McKraken, looking for a takedown. Rezende pushes McKraken against the cage but McKraken circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Leonardo Rezende. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rezende shoots in looking for a takedown. McKraken tries to sprawl out of it but Rezende keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. McKraken manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

McKraken shoots in and bounces Rezende off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Rezende closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

McKraken is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Rezende knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

McKraken goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Rezende has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for McKraken but great work by Rezende.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

McKraken feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
