Van Der Merwe gets control of Land's arms and successfully pulls guard. Van Der Merwe will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Land looking to sit in guard and control but Van Der Merwe gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Van Der Merwe is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Land has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Van Der Merwe is looking to defend but Land has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Van Der Merwe! Land pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Van Der Merwe taps out and this one is all over!
