Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Roger Rampage!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Vinicius Ferrari!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Alexandre Firmino and Thiago Cunha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rampage shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Ferrari counters with a left and a right that stings Rampage.
Rampage takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Ferrari throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Rampage tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Ferrari is in Rampage's guard.

Rampage has an active guard here but Ferrari has managed to pass into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Rampage is looking for a sweep. Ferrari is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Ferrari is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Rampage doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Ferrari.
Ferrari seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Rampage does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Ferrari perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ferrari wants to take a breather but Rampage is having none of it.

Rampage is refusing to be controlled, as Ferrari sits in half guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Vinicius Ferrari.

and Ferrari counters with a stiff right hand.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Roger Rampage. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ferrari lands with a nice combination. Rampage backs away looking to recover.
Ferrari ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Ferrari throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Roger Rampage seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rampage avoids the body shot from Ferrari.
Ferrari lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
A punch lands to the side of Rampage 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Ferrari stuns Rampage with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Nice shot lands for Ferrari.
Rampage takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Ferrari fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

Rampage gets caught flat footed, as Ferrari shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Ferrari stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rampage swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Rampage escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ferrari gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Ferrari passes Rampage's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Ferrari content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

Ferrari is working for a kimura but Rampage is defending it quite comfortably.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Rampage is trying to get back to full guard.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Vinicius Ferrari dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Ferrari thuds a left hand into Rampage's body.

It looks like Roger Rampage has been cut.

Ferrari lands with a shot to the body.
Rampage is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Ferrari scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Ferrari thuds his right hand into Rampage's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Ferrari works Rampage's body with a nice hook.
Rampage has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Rampage there as he acknowledges the shot.

Ferrari slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Ferrari connects with a body shot.
Ferrari lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Ferrari is pawing at Rampage, trying to feel the distance before throwing out a cross that crashes into Rampage's nose. Rampage is badly hurt! Ferrari pounces, throwing wild strikes as both fighters end up on the ground! Rampage tries desperately to hold on but Ferrari is relentless in his assault! As Rampage receives an ever increasing number of unanswered strikes the referee pulls Ferrari away and this one is in the books!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:06 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Vinicius Ferrari!
