Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frank Ricard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Baki Hanma (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ricard comes to the cage accompanied by Dust in the Wind. Baki Hanma is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Wesley Smith and Frank Dennis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ricard is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
The fight stays on the outside here - Ricard looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Ricard misses with a takedown attempt - Hanma sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Frank Ricard seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ricard tries for a takedown but Hanma sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Ricard throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hanma's waist but Hanma gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ricard off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frank Ricard. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ricard shoots in and drives through. Hanma sprawls well.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Ricard throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.

Good standup being displayed there by Hanma as he connects with a hook.
Ricard goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Ricard will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Ricard is breathing heavily.
Ricard tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Hanma circles away from the clinch attempt.
Ricard fails to land the takedown.
Ricard closes the distance and clinches up with Hanma, looking for a takedown. Ricard pushes Hanma against the cage but Hanma circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Ricard bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Ricard takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Hanma buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Oooh a lovely combination from Hanma sends Ricard down but not out. Hanma dives into side control looking to finish.

Ricard is rocked!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ricard has control of an arm but Hanma manages to advance to Hanma's back!
Oh Ricard is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ricard looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
Ricard is trapped and Hanma is scoring with shots to the head and body.
Ricard grimaces as he takes a shot to the body.
Ricard rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Hanma connects with a nice short shot to Ricard's temple.

Hanma seems to be working for a kimura but Ricard defends the submission attempt.
Hanma prevents Ricard from improving his position.
Hanma winds up and cracks Ricard with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Ricard could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hanma lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Hanma stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

and Hanma counters with a monster hook and another for good measure! Ricard falls to the ground, out cold! Stick some heavy metal music over the top of that clip and it's one for the highlight makers!
