Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Takanori Gomi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stumpy McCaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gomi's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Scary. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gomi is looking to stall here but McCaw recovers full guard.

McCaw working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Gomi doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Gomi manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
McCaw not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

A close round but Stumpy McCaw will probably get the nod.

McCaw gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Gomi fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. McCaw sprawls well initially but Gomi persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Gomi takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

McCaw wants to control but Gomi is keeping busy and won't allow it.

McCaw is looking for a sweep. Gomi is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Gomi is taking a breather. McCaw says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Gomi lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked McCaw! More strikes land and this one is all over! Gomi jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!
