Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Paulo Koshcheck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pizzazz Longez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Koshcheck kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is To Be Loved-Papa Roach. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Paulo Koshcheck!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pizzazz Longez!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Longez fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Koshcheck avoids it really well and circles away.

Longez shoots in looking for a takedown. Koshcheck tries to sprawl out of it but Longez keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Koshcheck manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Paulo Koshcheck has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pizzazz Longez.
Longez shoots in looking for a takedown but Koshcheck manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Longez's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Longez throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Koshcheck was covering up waiting for the punch and Longez finishes the takedown easily into guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Koshcheck had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Longez defends it easily.

Longez is stalling here. Koshcheck is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Longez seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Koshcheck has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

That was a close round but I would say that Paulo Koshcheck will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Pizzazz Longez hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Koshcheck shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Longez's guard.
