Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Pedro Lopez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ace Darko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lopez comes to the cage accompanied by South Texas Death Ride. Darko has chosen Sully Erna - Avalon as his entrance music. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

The judges for this bout are George Francis, Wesley Smith and Robert Twigg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
An inside leg kick from Lopez misses.

Darko throws a hook to the side of Lopez's head but Lopez sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Lopez moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Darko thumps Lopez with a low kick.
Darko throws a body punch but Lopez moves out of range.
Darko moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Lopez ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Darko moves away.
Lopez takes a kick to the side of the head.

Darko gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Darko manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Lopez manages to get himself to full guard.

Darko postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Darko is working Lopez over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Lopez utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Darko stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lopez swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Lopez is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Darko defends well.
Darko with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Lopez is looking for a triangle here but Darko uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Lopez tries to buck Darko off but Darko is having none of it.

Darko works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

Darko lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Darko lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

It looks like Pedro Lopez has been cut.
Lopez tries to hold on but Darko postures up.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Lopez takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Darko's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
