Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Col. John T. Hall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Peter Aerts!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Johanna Lukiainen and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Hall tries to pull guard but Aerts holds him up against the ropes and eventually Hall drops back down to his feet.
Still in the clinch, Hall scores with a nice short uppercut.

Aerts breaks the clinch.
Aerts looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.

Hall shoots in and bounces Aerts off the ropes to secure the takedown into guard.
Hall with a flurry of punches that miss.
Aerts really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hall. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Hall throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Aerts works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Hall trying to control the position from guard on top but Aerts is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Hall stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Aerts swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Peter Aerts.

Aerts gets caught napping as Hall dives in and scores a takedown. Aerts manages to retain guard.
Hall stands and throws Aerts's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Hall lands a decent elbow from side control.
Hall has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Aerts is trying to improve his position.
Hall wants to control but Aerts is keeping him busy.
Hall wants to control for a moment but Aerts uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.
Hall not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Hall prevents Aerts from standing back up.
Hall is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Aerts reverses the position - he's now on top in Hall's guard.
Aerts must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Hall looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Hall working for a triangle but Aerts defends it easily.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Hall wants to sweep but no luck.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business.


Hall thows a left - swing and a miss!
Aerts attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Aerts looks to land a body kick but Hall moved away.
Aerts throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Aerts throws a body kick that misses.
Aerts tries to clinch but Hall moves out of range.
A looping hook to the body misses from Hall. Aerts does a little dance to reset his feet.
A good leg kick by Aerts.
Hall slips a jab from Aerts.
Hall lands with a kick to the temple. Aerts shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
A bone on bone clash there as Hall blocks the leg kick.
Hall has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Aerts.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Aerts throws a leg kick which misses Hall's front leg but catches the back leg as Hall tries to avoid it.
Hall thows a left - swing and a miss!
Aerts tries to clinch up but Hall circles away and keeps his distance.
Hall shoots in for a double leg but Aerts sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Aerts takes a swing at Hall's ribcage but misses.
A looping hook to the body misses from Aerts. Hall does a little dance to reset his feet.
Nice body kick there by Hall.
Hall shoots in looking for a takedown. Aerts tries to sprawl out of it but Hall keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Aerts manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Peter Aerts seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Aerts lands a really nice looking cross but Hall seems unphased.


It looks like Col. John T. Hall has been cut.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Hall lands a nice shot to the body.
Hall circles away from the clinch attempt.
Aerts lands with a kick to the ribs.
Aerts fails with an attempt to clinch.
Hall takes one on the chin but seems OK.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The fight stays on the outside here - Aerts looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Hall stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Aerts.
Aerts lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Aerts throws a quick inside leg kick.

Aerts has closed the distance and engaged Hall in a clinch.
Aerts utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body.
Aerts scores a nice knee to the body.
Aerts is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.

Aerts lands a right hand.
Aerts lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Aerts lands an elbow inside.
Aerts unloads a knee to the mid-section.

Aerts breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Hall takes one to the side of the head.
Aerts looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Nice body kick from Aerts.
Both fighters circling a little - Aerts finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Aerts lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Hall takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Aerts feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Halls jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Aerts lands a nice looking kick to the body. Hall takes a step back to recover.
Aerts throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Aerts misses with an attempted mid kick.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Aerts. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Aerts fakes the leg kick and cracks Hall in the body.
Hall has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Aerts.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hall keeps the fight on the outside.
No joy there for Aerts, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Hall takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Aerts lands a glancing blow to the side of Hall's head.
Aerts thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Hall if he has to take too many more of those.
Crunch! Aerts slams his shin into Hall's torso.
Aerts has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Hall takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Aerts throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Aerts scores with a nice right hand.
Aerts fails in his attempt to clinch.
Hall fails with the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Col. John T. Hall. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Aerts lands a jab.
Aerts buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Aerts lands a nice looking body shot.
Aerts dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Aerts fakes the leg kick and cracks Hall in the body.
Hall takes one on the button.
Aerts tests Hall's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Aerts tries a head kick but it misses.
Nice shot by Aerts.
Aerts fails with an attempt to clinch.
Hall takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Hall will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body.
Aerts lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Aerts with a jab.
Aerts throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Hall on the side of the head.


Hall is rocked!
Aerts uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Oh Hall is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Hall keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Aerts thuds his shin into the meat of Hall's side.
Hall seems to have got his legs back now.
Aerts misses with an attempted mid kick.
Aerts misses with a kick to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Peter Aerts showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's time! Hall's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Hall tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Aerts was well out of range. Poor timing from Hall.
Aerts misses with a head kick.
Hall drops his hands momentarily and Aerts takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Hall fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Hall looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
A chopping leg kick lands by Aerts.
Aerts listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Aerts digs a good hook to Hall's body.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Aerts drops Hall with a big left hand! Hall is injured, injured bad! Aerts jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!
