Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brook Xan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Darron McClain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McClain with a jab.

McClain changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Xan looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

McClain has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

McClain tries to score a power double leg takedown but Xan sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten McClain somewhat.

Xan throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
McClain keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Xan misses with a looping right.
McClain lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Xan lands a left and a right that send McClain crashing to the mat, dazed. Xan thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Darron McClain has been cut.

Xan throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

McClain feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for McClain. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Xan takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Xan has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. McClain is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Xan.

This one could be over very soon! Xan goes limp - he's gone! McClain jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
