Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Qually Fiterwon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Smith Hammer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Hammer is looking for a choke. Fiterwon gets to his feet with his opponent on his back and slams him to the mat. Fiterwon manages to squirm out of the attempted choke and turns into his opponent's guard.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Smith Hammer hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Hammer closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Fiterwon quickly recovers to half guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Hammer feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

It looks like Smith Hammer has been cut.
Fiterwon shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Hammer eats them both and turns towards Fiterwon to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Fiterwon is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Hammer.
Fiterwon's corner calls for a 1-2. Fiterwon obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
