The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Quinn scores with a takedown into Kulk's guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Quinn might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Kulk wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Quinn is working for a guillotine from mount but Kulk frees his head quite easily.
Kulk sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kulk is refusing to be controlled, as Quinn sits in half guard.
Kulk is trying to control but can't.

Quinn stalling.
Kulk works his way to full guard. Good work.
Quinn wants to pass the guard but Kulk is keeping the position.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Quinn stands up from Kulk's guard - Quinn perhaps looking for a knockout.
Kulk moves out of range of the body kick from Quinn.

Kulk tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Quinn swivels and escapes.
Quinn throws a low kick but it's checked well by Kulk.

Quinn pushes Kulk up against the cage in a clinch.

Quinn has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Kulk regains guard immediately.
Quinn really is a fat lump.
Quinn controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Quinn wants to control from the top but Kulk keeps moving.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Quinn gets to his feet - Kulk follows without any prompting.
