The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takenoshit stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
James misses with the combination.

so James counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Takenoshit looking to control.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

James drops back looking for a leg! Takenoshit is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Takenoshit manages to kick James off! James jumps back into Takenoshit's guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

James seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Takenoshit is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
