The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boner shoots for a double leg takedown but Hieno sprawls well. He's pushed Boner's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Boner shoots in for a takedown but Hieno shows good takedown defense.

Boner is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Hieno is just riding it out for now. Boner eventually gives up the hold.

That was a close second round but I would say that Sami Hieno will probably get the nod.

Hieno got a little sloppy there for a moment and Boner has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hieno has managed to get both his arms back between Boner's legs - danger averted.

Boner working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hieno doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hieno manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
