Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hong Kong Phooey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oliver Kahn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Phooey kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Hong Kong Phooey. Kahn has chosen Boris Brejcha - Flockentanz as his entrance music. On his way into the ring it seems that Hong Kong Phooey has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Hong Kong Phooey seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Oliver Kahn!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Steven Brown and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kahn darts in and clinches Phooey up against the ropes.
Kahn wants a takedown but no success here.
Phooey looking to throw knees to the head but Kahn is blocking nicely.
Phooey gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Kahn.
Phooey effectively controlling the action here.
Kahn jumps guard but Phooey stands there with Kahn around his waist. Kahn gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Hong Kong Phooey has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Oliver Kahn.

Phooey lands a good knee to the midsection. Kahn won't want to take too many of those.

Kahn is trying to drag Phooey to the mat but Phooey just about manages to keep his footing. He used the ropes to his advantage there.

Kahn tries to score a body lock takedown but Phooey shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Phooey digs a right hand into Kahn's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Kahn's gas tank.

Kahn tries to score a body lock takedown but Phooey shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Phooey lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Phooey lands an elbow just above Kahn 's eye.
Phooey lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kahn tries to pull guard but Phooey won't allow it.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Phooey is leaning against Kahn and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.

Phooey comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Phooey scores with a knee to the head.


That has opened up Oliver Kahn's cut even more.

Phooey softening up his opponent with strikes, against the ropes.
Kahn tries to pull guard but Phooey holds him up against the ropes and eventually Kahn drops back down to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Phooey seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression.
The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Hong Kong Phooey.

Kahn closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Phooey's guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Phooey is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Phooey knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kahn on the ground.

Kahn postures up in Phooey's guard and throws a big left but Phooey blocks it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Kahn is looking to work some ground and pound but Phooey has wrist control.
Phooey lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Kahn!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Kahn is in all sorts of trouble here.

Phooey stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Phooey plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Phooey throws a right hand that Kahn ducks under and follows up with a left that Kahn also avoids with ease.
Kahn walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.


The cut above Oliver Kahn's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Kahn misses with a takedown attempt - Phooey sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hong Kong Phooey dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Oliver Kahn's cut.
That's time! Phooey's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Kahn throws a sloppy head kick and Phooey moves out of range easily.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Kahn jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Phooey walks away with a smile on his face. Kahn gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Phooey scores with a push kick.

Phooey lands a big head kick that sends Kahn tumbling to the mat! Phooey takes a step backwards and waves Kahn back to his feet - he wants the finish!


Kahn is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Phooey rushes Kahn and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch.
Kahn is still on wobbly legs! Can Phooey finish him?
Phooey manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Phooey unloads an enormous knee to the head! That's knocked Kahn out cold! Holy cow, it was almost as if it lifted Kahn off his feet!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:36 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Knee). Hong Kong Phooey!
Hong Kong Phooey is the new lightweight champion!
