The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bilko connects with a body shot that sends Kent's belly button to the back.

Bilko avoids a low kick by using good footwork.

Kent doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Bilko stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Kent.

Bilko closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Kent's guard.

Bilko is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Kent has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Kent!

Bilko throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kent's waist but Kent gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bilko off to one side.

and Bilko counters with a three punch combo that has Kent backing up. Kent nods at Bilko to acknowledge the strikes.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kent gets caught flat footed, as Bilko shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Kent had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Bilko defends it easily.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Kent is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Bilko is aware though and is defending well.
