The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Man lands with a slapping head kick.
Krypton bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Krypton.
Man keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Man lands with a straight right. Krypton didn't see that one coming.

Man swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Man misses with a head kick.
Man throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Krypton stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Man tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Krypton shoots in looking for a takedown. Man tries to sprawl out of it but Krypton keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Man manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Man slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Man throws a push kick but Krypton slaps the foot to one side.
Simple Man is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Man throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Simple Man seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Man throws a right and a left that both miss.

Krypton throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Man was covering up waiting for the punch and Krypton finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Krypton is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Man wants to stand up but Krypton is controlling him.

Krypton pushes down on Man's leg and manages to get into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Krypton is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Man defends it well.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
