Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Thunder Hands!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Gwen Towbar and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gonza stuffs the takedown.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Gonza.
Gonza controlling from side mount.
Gonza lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Hands down.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hands is looking to regain half guard here but Gonza keeps moving and retains side control.
Gonza is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Hands's shoulder. That is not cool.
Hands can't do much from the bottom here.
Gonza has control of an arm but Hands manages to advance to Gonza's back!

Gonza seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Hands for as long as he can get away with.

Gonza feints and as Hands raises his hands in defense, Gonza changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of David Gonza.

Gonza changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hands looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Gonza will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Hands pushes Gonza away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Gonza gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!



Gonza changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hands looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Hands is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Gonza is controlling him well.

Hands takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Gonza throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Gonza feints and as Hands raises his hands in defense, Gonza changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Gonza slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
