Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Max Muzyichenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johan Jacobs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Max Muzyichenko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Johan Jacobs!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Albert Achterberg and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jacobs circles away from the clinch attempt.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Jacobs.
Jacobs closes this distance looking for a takedown but Muzyichenko circles away.
Muzyichenko displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Jacobs.
Max Muzyichenko has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Johan Jacobs.
Muzyichenko sizes up Jacobs with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.


It looks like Johan Jacobs has been cut.
Jacobs misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Jacobs shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Muzyichenko but Muzyichenko pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Jacobs keeps control of Muzyichenko as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Muzyichenko tries to pull guard but Jacobs holds him up against the cage and eventually Muzyichenko drops back down to his feet.
Jacobs gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Muzyichenko.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Muzyichenko wants to get back to full guard but Jacobs has passed into side control.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Muzyichenko tries to buck Jacobs off but Jacobs is having none of it.
Jacobs is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

Jacobs stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Jacobs fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Muzyichenko, pushing him back against the cage.
Muzyichenko is trying to break the clinch but Jacobs is controlling him.

Jacobs gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Jacobs looks gassed!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Muzyichenko is looking for a sweep. Jacobs is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Jacobs wants to lay and pray for a moment but Muzyichenko keeps working.
Jacobs slows the pace down in half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Johan Jacobs will probably get the nod.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

The fight stays on the outside here - Muzyichenko looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Muzyichenko looks for a takedown but Jacobs sprawls well.
Jacobs dives in and grabs Muzyichenko's left leg, looking for a takedown. Muzyichenko pushes down on Jacobs's head and hops out.
Jacobs tries to close the distance and clinch but Muzyichenko swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Muzyichenko wants to work for an arm triangle but Jacobs is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Jacobs has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Muzyichenko is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Jacobs is just riding it out for now. Muzyichenko eventually gives up the hold.

The fighters are battling for position here. Jacobs manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Jacobs is striking off his back. Muzyichenko thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard.

Muzyichenko got a little sloppy there for a moment and Jacobs has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Muzyichenko has managed to get both his arms back between Jacobs's legs - danger averted.

Muzyichenko shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Jacobs defends it nicely.

Jacobs has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Muzyichenko uses from the top position.

Muzyichenko looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Muzyichenko tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jacobs swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Jacobs shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Muzyichenko defends it nicely.
Jacobs blocks a head kick by Muzyichenko.
Muzyichenko lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Jacobs changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Muzyichenko tries to avoid it but Jacobs manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Muzyichenko to the ground. Muzyichenko escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Max Muzyichenko has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Johan Jacobs.
Muzyichenko throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
A telegraphed right hand from Muzyichenko misses the target.
Jacobs takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Jacobs shoots in but no luck this time.

Muzyichenko lands a big head kick that sends Jacobs tumbling to the mat! Muzyichenko takes a step backwards and waves Jacobs back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Jacobs is still on wobbly legs! Can Muzyichenko finish him?

Muzyichenko connects with a nice cross there... Jacobs is looking wobbly and Muzyichenko recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Jacobs to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - Muzyichenko jumps onto the cage to celebrate with the crowd!
