Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mariusz Pudzian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kurt Karlsson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Karlsson comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Surfin´ bird kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Kurt Karlsson has the eye of the tiger tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karlsson fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Pudzian.
Karlsson misses with a low kick as Pudzian jumps back.

Pudzian slips a jab and a cross from Karlsson.

Pudzian fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Karlsson avoids it really well and circles away.

Karlsson is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Pudzian's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Pudzian's back!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Karlsson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pudzian swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Pudzian lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Karlsson!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Pudzian stalling away here and it's allowed Karlsson to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close round but I would say that Mariusz Pudzian will probably get the nod.

Karlsson lands a big head kick that sends Pudzian tumbling to the mat! Karlsson takes a step backwards and waves Pudzian back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Mariusz Pudzian has been cut.

Karlsson lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Pudzian up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Karlsson from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Pudzian's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.

Kurt Karlsson was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
