Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Angel Aracelis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Gers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aracelis comes to the cage accompanied by God's Gonna Cut You Down. Gers has chosen Iron Maiden - The Trooper as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Dave Gers has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Angel Aracelis's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Angel Aracelis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Dave Gers!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Richard Clark and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aracelis tries to clinch up
enabling Gers to counter with a crisp jab.
Aracelis throws a sloppy head kick and Gers moves out of range easily.
Aracelis wants to clinch but Gers slips to the side
and Gers counters with a one-two to the body.
Gers connects with the punch.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Aracelis wants to clinch up but Gers keeps it at a distance.

Gers bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Gers trying to control the position but Aracelis is working away.
Aracelis defending against the ground and pound.
Aracelis is trying to control Gers's posture but Gers avoids it.
Aracelis is trying to improve his position.
Gers in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Aracelis stops Gers from passing to mount.

Gers tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Gers has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Gers trying to control the position but Aracelis is working away.
Aracelis on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Gers throws a strike aimed at the side of Aracelis's head but Aracelis avoids it well.
Gers tries to move into full mount but can't pass Aracelis's legs.
Aracelis manages to work his way to half guard, despite Gers's best efforts.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Gers connects with a nice short shot to Aracelis's temple.

Gers is working for a kimura but Aracelis is defending it quite comfortably.
Gers wants to pass to mount but Aracelis is defending the position.

Gers throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Aracelis is looking to improve his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gers thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Aracelis's head.
Aracelis is trying to control but can't.
Aracelis wants to improve his position but Gers is controlling well.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Gers missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Aracelis is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Gers's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Gers's back!
I would not like to be Gers right now.
Aracelis controlling well, preventing Gers from escaping the position.
Gers is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.

Aracelis is trying to stick to Gers's back but Gers is turning into Aracelis. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Aracelis's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Gers.

Gers wants to control from the top but Aracelis keeps moving.

Gers stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Aracelis swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Gers throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Aracelis works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Gers wants to control from the top but Aracelis keeps moving.

Gers working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Aracelis's head.
Aracelis wants to sweep here but Gers controlling him for the moment.
Gers tries to free his leg and advance position but Aracelis is retaining full guard.
Gers throwing strikes but missing.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gers works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Gers sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Aracelis defending well though.
Aracelis is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Gers scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Aracelis is looking to control Gers's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Aracelis avoid being mounted?
Gers tries to pass to full mount but Aracelis defends it.
Aracelis on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dave Gers dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Gers creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Aracelis sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Gers lands a few punches from side control.


Aracelis is rocked!
Gers working the body and head with strikes.
Oh Aracelis is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Gers in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and Aracelis looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Gers turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:28 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dave Gers!
Dave Gers really struggled to get his t-shirt was on before his hand was raised. Making sure that BLKOUT Clothing logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
