Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Damian Grabowski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vladimir Petrov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Damian Grabowski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Vladimir Petrov!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Paul Tew and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grabowski misses with a looping left.
Grabowski tries to clinch up.

Petrov shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Petrov not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Petrov performing his best blanket impression for a moment.

Grabowski is trying to control but can't.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Vladimir Petrov hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Grabowski tries to clinch up

and Petrov counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Grabowski!
Grabowski is breathing heavily.
Grabowski is working to get back to half guard.
Petrov controlling the pace for now.
Grabowski is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Petrov stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
Damian Grabowski is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Grabowski avoids the head kick by Petrov.

Petrov bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Petrov tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Petrov has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Petrov is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Grabowski has escaped the position, nice work there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Petrov decides to stand back up. Petrov steps back and let's Grabowski get back to his feet.

Petrov shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Petrov was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Petrov lands a heavy elbow.
Grabowski keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Petrov stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Grabowski takes a body punch but keeps moving.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Vladimir Petrov dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Petrov wants to control from the top but Grabowski keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Petrov gets to his feet - Grabowski follows without any prompting.

Petrov closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Grabowski is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

Petrov has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Grabowski regains guard immediately.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Petrov stays in close to Grabowski's body and controls the position.
Petrov wants to control from the top but Grabowski keeps moving.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Vladimir Petrov has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Petrov avoids the head kick by Grabowski.
Petrov avoids a punch combination nicely.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Vladimir Petrov showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!



Petrov dives in and scores a takedown into Grabowski's guard.

Petrov's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Vladimir Petrov hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Petrov slips a jab and a cross from Grabowski.

Petrov feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Petrov trying to control the position from guard on top but Grabowski is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Petrov is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Petrov stands and steps away. Grabowski gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Petrov's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Petrov gets the takedown into side control.
Petrov is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Grabowski will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Petrov has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Petrov tries for a kimura but Grabowski is defending well.
Grabowski is trying to improve his position.

Petrov sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Grabowski is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Petrov slows the pace down.

Petrov tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
The ground and pound from Petrov seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

Petrov stands up.

Grabowski tries to sprawl but Petrov drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Petrov throwing shots but Grabowski is blocking nicely.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Petrov is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Petrov is controlling the pace.

And that's the end of the fight!
Vladimir Petrov comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Petrov has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
