The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Al Aziz misses the shot to the body.

and Tonying counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Tonying tries to clinch there but Al Aziz circles away.

and Tonying counters with a nice uppercut.
Tonying throws a lazy uppercut

and Tonying counters with a shoot takedown. Al Aziz fights it but they end up in guard.

Tonying is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

OK we're going to have a standup here. The Legendary Tonying hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Al Aziz dives in and scores a takedown into Tonying 's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Tonying keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Tonying fails to land the takedown.
Hassan Al Aziz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of The Legendary Tonying .

It looks like The Legendary Tonying has been cut.
Hassan Al Aziz is winning the standup battle so far.
This has been an exciting period of action!

and Tonying connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Tonying takes a jab right on the kisser.
Al Aziz misses with a shot to the body
and Al Aziz takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Tonying has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Al Aziz finds it's way round the side to connect with Tonying 's head.

Tonying shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Al Aziz defends it nicely.

Al Aziz feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Tonying sprawling to the canvas! Tonying rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Al Aziz finish him?!

Tonying bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
No luck for Tonying with that takedown attempt.

Al Aziz paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Al Aziz closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Tonying ! Al Aziz dives in looking to finish! Tonying is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
