The judges for this bout are James Glass, Colin Fotheringham and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roberts throws a sloppy head kick
and Bartolome cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
It looks like Jake Roberts has been cut.
Bartolome keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Roberts throws a series of punches but Bartolome moves out of range.
Roberts tries a head kick but it misses.
Bartolome blocks a head kick by Roberts.
Roberts throws a right hand that Bartolome ducks under and follows up with a left that Bartolome also avoids with ease.
Roberts falls off balance throwing a combination
and Bartolome counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Roberts throws a sloppy body shot
and Bartolome counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Roberts is breathing heavily.
Roberts will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Bartolome throws a series of strikes that have Roberts backpedaling.
Bartolome lands with a big right hook that stumbles Roberts - he's out on his feet here! Bartolome follows up with another monster hook that separates Roberts from consciousness! Roberts falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Bartolome stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.
