The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Brunner shoots in and gets a takedown into Oliver's guard.
Brunner trying to control the position from guard on top but Oliver is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Oliver controls Brunner momentarily but Brunner frees himself.

Brunner got a little sloppy there for a moment and Oliver has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Brunner has managed to get both his arms back between Oliver's legs - danger averted.

Brunner stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Oliver avoids the head kick by Brunner.

Brunner closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Oliver's guard.
Brunner advances position into side control!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Oliver tries to improve position but can't.
Brunner looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Oliver is avoiding damage well.

Brunner is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Oliver has escaped the position, nice work there.
Oliver is trying to control Brunner's posture but Brunner avoids it.

Brunner advances to full mount.

Brunner wants to finish this one by submission but Oliver is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Brunner.
Oliver is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Brunner lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Oliver hang on?

Brunner is working for a guillotine from mount but Oliver frees his head quite easily.
Oliver tries to reverse the position but Brunner maintains control.
Brunner manages to capitalize on a mistake by Oliver to take his back!

Brunner is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Oliver has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Brunner has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Oliver! Can he survive? No! He's out! Brunner gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
