Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Montgomery Nagendra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tomas Pirhonen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Nagendra might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to The Liberty Bell - John Philip Sousa. Pirhonen is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Last Caress. Montgomery Nagendra has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed right hand from Nagendra misses the target.

Nagendra shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Pirhonen manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Nagendra wants to control from the top but Pirhonen keeps moving.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Pirhonen takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Nagendra has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
