The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Taison with a nice cross.

It looks like Ray Johnstone has been cut.
Taison throws a jab but it's blocked by Johnstone.
Johnstone closes this distance looking for a takedown but Taison circles away.
Johnstone needs to keep his hands up - Taison had a free shot at his head there.
Johnstone fails with a takedown attempt.

Johnstone shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Johnstone was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Taison is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Taison is desperately trying to improve his position but Johnstone has a good base and remains in mount.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Johnstone wants to finish this one by submission but Taison is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Johnstone.

Johnstone is landing with some decent strikes but Taison is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Johnstone has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Taison's face.

Johnstone postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Taison in real trouble here! The ref calls for Taison to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
