Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marcus Bartleby (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raph Andres (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Marcus Bartleby!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Raph Andres!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Paulo Santos and Mauricio Rocha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bartleby closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Andres is pushing Bartleby's head away, looking to escape. Bartleby manages to hold on to the position though.
Bartleby knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Andres on the ground.
Andres is looking to regain half guard here but Bartleby keeps moving and retains side control.
Bartleby in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Andres seems a little lost for a moment, as Bartleby dominates the positioning.
Bartleby's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Bartleby is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

Andres is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Bartleby's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Andres is trying to maintain the position but Bartleby is very close to passing his half guard.

Bartleby has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Bartleby takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Bartleby perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Andres actively working from the bottom here.
Still in half guard, Bartleby seems content to control.
Andres on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bartleby is taking a breather. Andres says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Bartleby seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Andres for as long as he can get away with.

We're going to have a standup here because Marcus Bartleby wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Bartleby feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Bartleby not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Andres pushes Bartleby off and scrambles back to his feet.

Andres fails with an attempt to clinch.
Andres looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bartleby is fending him off so far but Andres persists. Nope, Bartleby circles away and we're back to standing.
Andres throws a wild body kick that Bartleby sees coming a mile off.

No luck for Andres with that takedown attempt.
Andres tries to clinch but Bartleby moves out of range.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Marcus Bartleby dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Bartleby throws a sloppy head kick and Andres moves out of range easily.

Andres has Bartleby up against the cage in a clinch.

Andres has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Bartleby uses from the top position.

Marcus Bartleby overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Bartleby is pressing down on Andres's thigh, looking to free his foot. Andres is holding on for now.
Bartleby seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Andres is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Bartleby pulls his head out easily.

Bartleby lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Bartleby drops a big elbow. That's hurt Andres! More shots from Bartleby and the ref steps in! The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Marcus Bartleby!
A relieved looking Marcus Bartleby thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
