Washington lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Marvin Washington seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Washington stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Washington wants it to stay on the feet.
Gent changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Washington tries to avoid it but Gent manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Washington to the ground. Washington escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Washington throws a lazy right hand but Gent sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Gent shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Washington sprawls well. Washington wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Gent gets slowly back to his feet.

Gent is breathing heavily.

Washington feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Gent sprawling to the canvas! Gent rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Washington finish him?!

Gent is trying desperately to land a takedown but Washington is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Gent.

Washington flashes Gent a smile before throwing a beast of a right hand, straight down the pipe. Gent's eyes follow the hand right onto his nose, taking in it's full glory... and then darkness. Gent crumples to the floor! He's out cold! Washington punches the air and yells at the top of his lungs - yeeeeeeeeeeah!!!! This one is all over!

Marvin Washington decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
