The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Deslandes tries a head kick but it misses.
McMillan blocks a head kick by Deslandes.
Deslandes tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and McMillan counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
McMillan takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
McMillan throws a strike but Deslandes avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Deslandes wants to get back to his feet but McMillan is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
McMillan working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
McMillan lands a couple of elbows.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Deslandes preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Deslandes is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst McMillan is controlling him.
McMillan is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
McMillan is working Deslandes over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
McMillan lands a couple of digs.

Deslandes is rocked!
McMillan lands a couple of elbows.
Oh Deslandes is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Deslandes is breathing heavily.
McMillan gets to his feet and stands over Deslandes, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Deslandes felt that one! McMillan unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Deslandes from any more punishment!
