Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hugh G Rection (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aleksander Ivanov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Rection might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Symphony of Destruction by Megadeth. The crowd seem to be enjoying Ivanov's choice of entrance music: Step Into A World (Rapture's Delight). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rection lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Rection uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Ivanov.
Rection slips a straight right by Ivanov.
Ivanov takes a shot to the body in his stride.
A slow jab from Ivanov misses its intended target.
Ivanov gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Rection.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Rection feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Ivanovs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Rection stands and steps away. Ivanov gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Ivanov throws out a loose jab but Rection uses good head movement to avoid it.

Rection waves his right hand out in front of him, looking to distract Ivanov. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Ivanov to the canvas! Can he finish him!?

Ivanov throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Rection escapes and throws Ivanov's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Rection is looking to take a break and control but Ivanov is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Ivanov manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Rection is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Ivanov is looking to improve his position.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Ivanov is looking for a triangle but Rection pushes his legs off easily.
Ivanov controls Rection momentarily but Rection frees himself.

Ivanov looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Ivanov has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Rection is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Ivanov.
Rection content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
You can see the frustration on Ivanov's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Rection knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ivanov on the ground.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Ivanov manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Rection on his heels. He'll look to pass Rection's guard now, I'm sure.

Ivanov slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Ivanov shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Rection sprawls well. Rection wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ivanov gets slowly back to his feet.

The fighters circle, before Rection throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Ivanov's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Rection lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
