The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The crowd cheers as Balboa lands an impressive looking overhand right. Benton doesn't seem phased though.
Benton shoots and misses
and Balboa counters with a stiff right hand.

It looks like Glen Benton has been cut.
Balboa throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Balboa swats away the attempt to clinch by Benton.
Benton fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Balboa swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Benton.
Michael Balboa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Balboa connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Benton momentarily.
